"Strong ground plan, immaculate hard landscaping and naturalistic planting" English Garden

A newly-wed couple wanted an informal and naturalistic garden for relaxing and entertaining.

A simple, rectangular, graphite grey stained deck catches the evening sun at the back of the garden. This is reached by a path of Welsh Slate stepping stones set in crushed granite, which invitingly doglegs through low ‘L’ shaped, timber-retained, scree beds with succulent planting.  Bamboos provide privacy and a weeping silver Birch focus. The deck is encased with exuberant planting with purple, claret and white perennials swathed through a network of grasses which are in constant, gentle motion.
